PanARMENIAN.Net - President of the Football Federation of Armenia Armen Melikbekyan and head of the Georgian Football Federation Levan Kobiashvili met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino, the Armenian federation reported.
The Armenian and Georgian officials noted that it is a great honor and responsibility to host the 2029 FIFA Youth World Cup.
They expressed deep gratitude to FIFA for the high level of trust shown toward Armenia and Georgia.
During the meeting, the sides reaffirmed their full readiness to combine efforts and resources to organize a high-level tournament. Melikbekyan and Kobiashvili emphasized that both countries are committed to making the 2029 World Cup a genuine football celebration, characterized by top-level organization and a unique atmosphere of hospitality.
Armenia and Georgia will jointly host the FIFA Youth World Cup in 2029. The joint bid was selected during a FIFA Executive Committee meeting held in Vancouver, Canada.
