Georgia expresses concern over Middle East developments

TBILISI, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia on Saturday expressed "deep concern" over developments unfolding in the Middle East, saying it is closely monitoring the situation.

In a statement released on social media platform X, the ministry underscored the importance of diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and ensuring regional stability.

The Georgian foreign ministry also urged its nationals in the region to exercise caution. "We advise Georgian citizens to follow the official guidance and take all necessary precautions to ensure their safety," the statement read, adding that Georgian embassies across the region "remain fully operational and ready to assist Georgian citizens as needed."
